About This Item
Desert Rose Press, 1993. First edition, first printing. Has become quite a scarce copy. Wonderful poems and almost all poems by Clifford Burke are on the subject of the sacred whether landscape or people. From the poet and printer's own Desert Rose Press. Fine bright all around wraps and always attractive work. Tipped in long handwritten letter in his calligraphy to this old friend Janine Pommy Vega describing Burke's move to New Mexico. Well detailed and friendly as always with his then address from San Jose, New Mexico. Also tipped in two printed sheets of poems one "On Burlington Bridge" with his initials and a second poem "2 September" with his initials. A rare book with a fine letter and association in that he printed Janine Pommy Vega's work in letterpress in their early years of San Francisco at Cranium Press
