Wayne, PA.: Tobey Publishing Co., Inc., 1985. 1st Edition 5th or later Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Fair. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. x + 371 pp., b/w photos. Sage was in the OSS during World War II. He was captured in No. Africa & passed himself off as an airman (to avoid execution if the Germans had learned that he was in the OSS). He ended up in Stalag Luft III where he was deeply involved in the Great Escape. Signed on the f.f.e.p., "God's blessings, and, my best wishes. Col. Jerry Sage, Black Mntn., N.C." Signed copies are rare. Hard cover book in v.g. cond. The d/w has been water stained & shows a rippling effect on the front & rear panels hence only fair cond. Not price-clipped.
