New York; (1931): William Farquhar Payson. Limited Edition. Quarto. Limited to 47 copies signed by the author. This copy is number 34, printed on Crane's Old Book paper. From the library of George R.M. Ewing, Jr., with his bookplate designed by Rockwell Kent with the Latin quotation "Homo Sum Humani Nihil A Mi Alienum Esse Puto". This particular bookplate was designed in 1928 and can be found in "The Bookplates & Marks of Rockwell Kent, 1929, #51 126pp. With 64 illustrations by the author, Together with an original pen and ink drawing signed, measuring 18 1/4" x 12 5/8 " which is also found on page 4 and titled "weighing anchor". A very worthwhile collection. bound in green paper over beveled boards lettered in gilt, backed in vellum, spine gilt with only minor toning. A fine bright copy housed in publisher's box with sides broken.
