The text is illustrated with contemporary black-and-white photographs and illustrations. Brown coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. Illustrated dustwrapper with green and brown coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Keith Dunstan takes a wry look at the Kelly legend, and what it has meant for Australian commerce. In the process, he examines why we regard an Irish horse thief and murderer as an unofficial national hero. -- paraphrasing front fold over blurb Rubbing and softening of the back strip edges with bumping of the book corners which also show rubbing. Age toning of the text block edges. Rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels with marks and rubs also present.
