Contemporarily rebound in tan cloth with dark brown label with similar gilt titling as original on spine. Top page edges gilt, some minor foxing to page edges, contents clean, a handsome set. Journals of Captain Scott. Vol.2. Reports of the Journeys & the Scientific Work by Dr.Wilson and the Surviving Members of the Expedition arranged by Leonard Huxley, Preface by Sir Clements R. Markham. Vol 1, xxvi, 636 pages, similar collation, edges and formatting, with changes of 2nd edition, addition of 3 pages to appendix of volume I, an additional map at page110 and table of distances in volume I expanded. Vol 2, xii,534 pages, 84 plates including photogravure frontispiece plus 7 folding maps and 8 sketches in text. Third impression of the First Edition. Quantity Available: 1.
