New York: Dodd, Mead & Company. Very Good- with no dust jacket. 1951. Hardcover. A collection of seven plays by the Irish-born English playwright Bernard Shaw (1856-1950). Some of these plays were published in either of his earlier collections "Plays Unpleasant" or "Plays Pleasant." Each with the author's preface and notes. Also with a general preface, in which Shaw says "There is an old saying that if a man has not fallen in love before forty, he had better not fall in love after." --- In full black cloth-covered boards with spine titling in gilt on light blue blocks; horizontal gold bands to spine. Volume lacks the dust jacket. --- With severe fading to spine titling, making it unreadable; and with minor soiling and dampstains to cloth. Interior is clean, unmarked and tightly-bound.; Octavo - 8 to 9 in. tall; xxvi, 911 pages .
