Small 8vo (7 3/4" x 5 3/8"), maroon cloth with gold lettering on spine, Mylar-protected dust jacket (unclipped) depicting Big Ben and darkened London skyline, xvii + 1088 pages. Novel of contemporary Victorian manners about Fleur Forsyte and Marjorie Ferrar who "lives dangerously." John Galsworthy OM (1867 - 1933) was an English novelist and playwright. Notable works include (1906-1921) and its sequels, A Modern Comedy and End of the Chapter. He won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1932. SUPERIOR COPY with tight, bright, clean contents. Dust jacket is Very Good with a few clean tears and slight wear to head and foot of spine.
