Blueish -grey boards decorated in black and gilt is rubbed and lightly soiled, heaviest on spine strip where gilt is dulled. Light overall shelfwear.  Page edges soiled. Internally, end pages slightly age toned with a previous owners bookplate to top of 1st free endpage and residue on the inside front board from a bookplate no longer attached. Otherwise paper slightly age-toned but clean, save for an occasional smudge. The binding is tight and hinges intact. A very good copy.
