London, New York: Ernest Nister, E.P. Dutton Front cover floral designs in white, gilt, green. Comprising versions of two poems, "Mater Speciosa" and "Mater Dolorosa". Printed in Bavaria 347 at bottom of title page. Half-title page in gilt. Six full-page chromolithographs to illustrate the hymns. Dr. Neale and Earl Crawford created versions of these hymns, presented in exquisite typography, with gilt embellishments as titles and borders. The final plate has a 3/4" closed tear in its free edge. Small spots on free edge of the first three leaves.. Blue Cloth. Light Edge Wear and Soiling/No Jacket. Square Octavo.
