Octavo, green cloth covered boards with silver titles. 155 pp. including "Hints for the Sick Room" plus ads and blanks. Handwritten recipes on rear blank pages including one for "Mother's PIckles". A compendium from the "ladies of the parish" of Sharpsburg a river town on the Allegheny River near PIttsburgh in the heart of Pennsylvania Presbyterian country. Moderate rubbing to ends of spine and rear board edges. A couple of signatures starting. No marks, stains, tears etc. About very good. Very scarce..
