St. Martin's Street, London: MacMillan & Co., Limited, 1917. 1917 date at title page without stated copyright date. Scarce first edition printed by MacMillan & Company of London. Fine navy cloth boards, gilt embossed cover and spine titles, moderate shelf, corner, edge wear, discoloration, some rub. Beautifully and richly colored frontispiece plate by Willy Pogany. Painting portray gowned lady with shawl peering out window into nature among pillared column. Rough cut deckled leaves, generally good, clean; some fox at first few and varying toning throughout. Few with page with bracketing and antiquarian signature pencilled at blank front endpaper: "... Shanghai, August 24, 1917." Few leaves remain uncut along top edge. Bind good, square; hinges intact. Four pages at back with other available titles by Sir Rabindranath Tagore with summaries from Macmillan and Company. Attractive, near good first edition. Dedication: "To T. Hara of Yokohama." Printed by R. & R. Clarke, Limited, Edinburgh. 84 pages. Insured post.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" Tall.
