About This Item
New York: The Century Co... Very Good in Good dust jacket. 1930. First Edition. Hardcover. A clean, tight copy of this worthwhile book, with an owner's name on the front flyleaf, but no other signs of prior use. The pages are attractively toned to a creamy color, and the jacket, although worn, is still colorful. A mylar Brodart cover now protects it. Although hardly primary research material, this volume contains an interesting selection of English language (Ben Franklin is included) biographical writing, starting with Cavendish on the life of Wolsey and ending with Strachey on Queen Victoria. .
