About This Item
n.p., 1915. Pamphlet. 5 page staplebound pamphlet, neatly ex-library with a donation stamp on the first page.
Translates a Dutch statement by the Dutch Sanskritist and archaeologist Vogel that describes the "Manifesto of the Indian National Party" as a slanderous and mendacious attack on the British colonial authorities. The introductory text, added by the anonymous English publisher, lists some of the claims made in the Manifesto, calling them absurd propaganda, and rebuts them with the argument that India had been highly supportive of England's cause in the war. Vogel's statement includes evidence that the Manifesto was distributed with German aid.
