Clean pages, though age-toned in margins and at endpapers and in a patch on pages 10-11 and 40-41 caused by laid-in newsprint; final signature relaxed, but secure, and rear hinge just starting; full red cloth cover is darkened along the spine and shows a small fabric tear at the spine head, gray handling smudges around edges, and some shelfwear wear at corners, otherwise sound and still quite attractive. 32 color illustrations. x, 203pp. + map.
