Not specifically stated, but may be a First Edition or second printing. 8vo sized red cloth bound hardcover with black titles on the spine. 317 toned pages. With 17 tipped in black and white photo engravings of excellent quality. A series of essays: Contents Purity and Pornography An excerpt: "If one should drop into this country from Mars or fly to it from a land in which American papers and magazines are unknown, he might easily believe that we are deluged with pornography, that we are constantly debating what we shall do to be saved, and sporadically trying to make laws that will spare the coming generation contact with lewdness, obscenity, and immorality in literature.
