First edition, 8vo, pp. 210; spine slightly discolored else a very good copy in orig. gilt-stamped blue cloth, t.e.g. The "Old Northwest" consisted of those territories ceded to the U.S. in the treaty with Britain in 1783 and organized under the Ordinance of 1787 that later became the states of Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin and part of Minnesota.
