Melbourne: The Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. Very Good in Very Good- dust jacket. 1965. Hardcover. A 1965 reprint (with corrections) of a work first published in 1947. A scholarly examination of the makeup of various Australian ores, such as copper, gold, silver, etc. Particular emphasis is given to mineragraphic techniques. With several sections of gloss plates displaying magnified black & white images of various minerals. Also with several drawings and charts. --- In full dark red cloth-covered boards with gilt stamped institute seal to cover; gilt-stamped spine titling. Volume wrapped in simple yellow dust jacket. --- A prior owner's rubberstampings have been blacked over on textblock lower edge and front free endpaper and with rounded cover corners, else a sound, tightly-bound copy. Jacket with sunned spine, a little soiling to front cover and with small tears and chafing of edges; wrapped in removable archival mylar protector. ; Octavo - 8 to 9 in. tall; xiii, 242 pages .
