About This Item

New York: McGraw-Hill, 1963. Believed First. Paperback. Good/No Jacket. Good/No Jacket. Softcover. Believed 1st Edition. Remember the days before they invented computers and pocket calculators? Here's one for the number-crunchers and mathematical whizz-kids out there. An in-depth study of advanced calculus, including 925 solved problems in detail. Seventeen chapters covers the following topics: Numbers; Functions, Limits & Continuity; Sequences; Deriviatives; Integrals; Partial Derivatives; Vectors; Applications of Partial Derivatives; Multiple Integrals; Line and Surface Integrals & Integral Theorems; Infinite Series; Improper Integrals; Gamma & Beta Functions; Fourier Series; Fourier Integrals; Elliptic Integrals; Functions of a Complex Variable. If you need to ask what an integral is then this book is not for you (we don't know either). For keen mathematicians, however, this will provide a source of information still relevant to the subject today. Contains 384 pages, 27.5 x 20.5cm, and illustrated throughout with mathematical formulae and line figures. Plain card covers showing some light rubbing to edges and a little 'grubby', but good condition for its age. Internally, good: clean, bright and unmarked in sound bindings.
