About This Item
From the Foreword: "The Thomas Hart Benton mural is painted on the four walls of the House Lounge, a large meeting room on the third floor in the West Wing of the Missouri State Capitol. Many newspaper and magazine articles have been written about these murals, both commending and condemning them. Mr. Benton himself wrote and said a great deal about these paintings."
"This booklet attempts to draw together the various data and present a brief illustrated guide to the murals." There is a chapter on the Philosophy Behind the Mural and one on Techniques in Executing the Mural.
There are several color photographs of the mural in the center of the book.
Very Good condition. Very slight bumping to covers. Very minimal edge/corner wear. Text is clean. Stapled binding is tight. The barcode sticker on the back is stained. It appears that a few drops of water affected the top of some pages since there is a wrinkle, but it is not obvious looking at the closed book.
Please use the photos as part of the description.
