Hugo Hartung (born September 17, 1902 in Netzschkau/ Vogtland – died May 2, 1972 in Munich) was a German writer. He also wrote under the pseudonym N. Dymion. From 1922 Hugo Hartung studied theater, art and literary history in Leipzig, Vienna and Munich. In 1928 he was appointed Dr. Ing. phil. PhD. He then worked as an actor at the Landesbühne in Munich. From 1931 Hartung was a freelance writer and he wrote radio plays for the Bavarian Radio. In 1936 he went to Oldenburg as chief dramaturge, after he had been banned from writing. From 1940 he took up the same activity in Wroclaw. In 1945 he had to participate in the battles for the city. After the Second World War Hartung lived until 1947 in Neustadt on the Orla (Thuringia), then until 1950 in Potsdam and then in West Berlin. In 1960 he came to Munich and devoted himself increasingly to writing. His novels have been translated many times and some filmed. [Wikipedia]

About Pages For Sages

Pages For Sages has been in the business of buying and selling rare and used books, ephemera, and other unusual items for over forty years. We have long depended on book fairs, printed catalogs, auctions, and the like to support the business. Now, in our later years (ages 90 and 92) we are taking this step to display a catalog of inventory on the Biblio web site for your consideration. The number of our listings will grow as we continue the process of adding items from our inventory - please come back from time to time to find additional offerings.
