The author was a principal of the high school in Rapid City, Manitobe and writes of the western prairie of the late 19th and early twentieth centuries. Foreword by Arthur L. Phelps (1887-1970), professor of English at Wesley--and later United—College. The book "like new with toning." The dust jacket has tiny edge nicks and a three-inch split at the fold-over, not visible from the scan because there is no loss of paper. . Having a dust jacket is unusual. All eight illustrations are present and perfect THIS IS A FIRST EDITION OF OUTSTANDING QUALITY
