About This Item
Publisher's black cloth with spine and upper board lettering gilt and an upper board circular color inset, small quarto, pp. viii, 189, [2]. Many illustrations by John W. Thomason, Jr. Book is laid into the publisher's box. Box is in POOR condition, rubbed and scuffed, bruised and battered. One side panel of the box lid detached from its lateral seams long ago and exists now only as a flap. Flap was taped back into place at some point but the tape did not hold. It could be re-taped, however, or even glued by a steady hand.
