Scarce study of Ukrainian decorative painting on walls, household goods, and pysanky, issued as the fourth volume of a general survey of Ukrainian folk arts, illustrated in vivid color with text by influential Ukrainian illustrator Butnik-Siversky. Text in Ukrainian. Original beige pictorial cloth stamped in pink and green. Color plates with additional black and white photographs. In original pictorial dust jacket. 183, [3] pages. Sun/toning to cloth at upper edges. Binding slightly shaken. Jacket spine sunned, shallow chipping to jacket folds and edges. Ownership stamp to front free endpaper. Title page stamp, "Printed in the Soviet Union." Minor smudge to title page.
