New York: D. Appleton and Company, 1951 189pp. Front board is detached including both front endpapers, half title page and title page. Spine is missing. Tips are heavily bumped, heavily rubbed, and missing small pieces. Edges of text block are heavily dust stained. Boards exhibit heavily edgewear. Boards are scuffed, soiled, sunned, and scratched. Rear board has a couple tiny surface tears at lower edge. Old book store sticker on inside of front board at top tip. Inside of boards and endpapers are heavily sunned, foxed, and stained. Endpapers have light creases. Signature is open at pages 22/23 and 120/121. Pages 170-174 have stains at foredge. Pages are toned. Text is unmarked. . First Edition. Hardcover. Poor/No Dust Jacket.
