Hartford, CT: J.B. Burr and Company, 1871. Early Edition. Cloth. Very Good. 7 X 10 3/8 Inches. [693 PP][787 PP]. Both volumes bound in the original black cloth with gilt title stamping to spines. Both volumes retain frontis and tissue-guard and all plates throughout. With over 450 engravings by Angas, Danby, Wolf, Zwecker, etc. A bit of foxing and toning. Volume two with minor chips and a separation of cloth at spine. A few minor tears here and there. A very attractive set overall. Second American edition.
