New York: Duffield and Company, 1928. This is a Very Good copy of the First American Edition.Translation from the original Russian by Olga Vitali and Vera Brooke. Introduction by Henry Irving Brock. Red paper-covered boards with black cloth spine and paper label. An historial/political novel by General Peter Nicolaevich Krassnoff (1869-1947) , a White Russian commander, later allied with the Nazis, who was executed by the Red Army after WW II. Rather uncommon. Clean text; 445 pages.Bookplate and previous-owner signature on the front paste-down; magazine photo of Trotsky is tipped onto FFEP. No dustjacket. Minor edgewear; the original red boards have faded to a sort of salmon pink. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. First American Edition.. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket.
