About This Item

Commander Gail James Eberbe was the commander of the USS Epperson DD-719 from August 1959 to February 1961.

This is a very RARE Book and I after some research, I have not found one just like it. It could be priceless. I am offering it for $429.00.

If you are a descendent of one of the ship's crew at the time this book was bounded, I am willing to discount it for you.

About The USS Epperson: The USS EPPERSON (DD-719) was named in honor of Harold Glenn Epperson, a U.S. Marine Corps private killed on Saipan on 25th June 1944, when he threw himself on an enemy grenade to save the lives of his comrades. The ship was launched on 22nd December 1945, but the navy halted construction until 28th January 1948 when she was redesignated DDE-719. She was then completed by the Bath Iron Works Corporation, Bath, Maine, and was commissioned 19th March 1949.
