New York: Meredith Press, 1967. First Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. 7" x 6.375" Original illustrated jacket and matching cloth boards. [26] leaves of illustrations of imaginary animals, from Ampoo to Zote, accompanied by descriptions in rhyming couplets. Bookplate of Olen J. Earnest on front free endpaper. Jacket yellowed with small chips to foot of front cover and jacket spine. Sunning to inner flaps. Covers and outer edges of jacket smudged. Small speckle of green pencil to lower front cover. Slight scoring to bottom right corner of front cover. Boards yellowed. Bumping at spine-ends. Small stain to foot of bottom right corner. Light rubbing to edges, extremities. Sporadic smudges. Interior clean, bright. Near fine, and fun in a very good jacket.
