London: Jarrolds, 1935 First edition. Signed by the editor on title page: D. Whitelaw, Savage Club. HB. Red cloth, with gilt titles to spine, no dustjacket. xi, 288pp, plus publisher's catalogue. With 33 b&w photos and illustrations in plates and text, including frontispiece. Memoirs of the music hall manager and musician, who knew Dan Leno, Marie Lloyd and other greats. Includes performing and fundraising for troops in France in the First World War, with some photos of this. A Very Good copy. Pages very good and well-bound, with light browning to closed edges and leaves at ends. Covers have bright gilt but are dull with some light marks, fading to spine cloth and small bumps to edges. Photos available.
