Paris: Bibliotheque-Charpentier, 1924. Leather. Very Good. 7.5" by 5". None. A beautifully bound copy of Maurice Maeterlinck's essay. In the original French. La Vie Des Abeillles or The Life of the Bee is one of many essays by Maeterlinck. It was originally published in 1901. Maurice Maeterlinck was a Belgian playwright, poet and essayist. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1911 for his many literary activities. His fictional work plays an important part of the Symbolist movement. In a half quarter morocco binding with paper covered boards and gilt stamped detailing to spine. Externally, smart with some minor rubbing to the extremities and to the head and tail of spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are age toned to edges and clean throughout. Very Good
