Red cloth covers, gilt titles to spine, gray dust jacket with brown illustration and titles, mylar protective covering to dust jacket, over 200 b&w illustrations by author, 6 b&w plates, including frontispiece and 3 fold-out panels with violin diagrams traced from originals. Light rubbing to covers, dust jacket spine faded, dust jacket edges lightly discolored with age, price-clipped, pages crisp and unmarked, neat binding; overall, a very clean, tight copy in great condition.
