"Illustrated with 450 original drawings specifically executed for the divine comedy and 429 other reproductions of works of art of the old masters, views, etc. with a life of Dante, chronological survey of his age and a full index" Florentine Edition, edited and published by G. Fattorusso, Florence. Printed in Italy. Full custom leather binding by S. Luti of Firenze (Florence). Undated but perhaps 1930's (?). 511 pages Hubbed spine. Gilt titles and designs. Wear and some soiling to extremities and spine hubs. Previous owner's gift inscription on front, free end paper, barely readable and not offensive. "E.W.B." initials (previous owner?) printed in gilt on spine tail. A very attractive, full-leather Dante with a plethora of wonderful illustrations. Rare.
