Denver: Golden Bell 310 pages, lt blue cloth with silver ltrs, corners/edges/ and head-heel of spine are bumped, names on upper ffep. DJ is yellow pictorial with black ltrs and has numerous nicks/chips/& tears on edges and corners as well as head-heel of spine and has sticker residue and tears from sticker removal on front cover with faded spine. Thirteen year old Marian Blane along with her parents and brother Russell leave Chicago in 1871 for Colorado Territory, accompanied by young Doctor Frank and the dog, Chase to endure hardships and narrow escapes with the constant fear of Indians only added to Marian's dislike of camp life and her homesickness.
