Humphrey Milford, Oxford University Press, London, No Date (c. late 1920s). First or very early edition thus. HARDCOVER. Thick, large and heavy 8vo. in ornately blue and gilt embossed pale blue cloth covered boards, 252pp on thick paper, frontispiece, and 15 other full page hand tipped-in colour plates mounted on stiff card with printed captions (as issued), line decoration in text (also by Jackson). This copy has a small ink name to front blank fly-leaf and small neat inscription to half title leaf (no other marks or inscriptions) __CONDITION : An extremely well preserved FINE very clean and tight copy (hint of fading to covers, pages very slightly tanned) in a spine tanned and slightly edge-nicked but otherwise near FINE complete Dust Jacket. An excellent copy. __NOTE. Depending on destination, this item may require an extra payment for shipping insurance.
