First English-language appearance of this novel published (and "translated") pseudonymously in France in 1947; a satire set in Ireland during the 1916 Easter Rising. Translated from the French by Barbara Wright, with introduction by Valerie Caton. First (American) edition. Octavo (8 x 5.25 in.); 174pp.; black textured-papered boards, in dust jacket. Rear board corners lightly bumped. Moderate but quite pale foxing to page edges, heaviest towards the back half of the textblock fore-edge; as foxing goes, fairly unobtrusive. Near fine in a fine, unclipped jacket, virtually without flaw.

All books ship free with tracking to domestic addresses via USPS Media Mail. In most cases, delivery takes place within a three to ten day window, although the vicissitudes of USPS may apply. Unless otherwise requested, expedited domestic purchases ship via USPS Priority Mail; overseas orders via USPS First Class International. Heavy or oversized books may incur additional shipping charges, as may books shipped to overseas destinations. Any additional charges required will be communicated promptly.
We take safe shipping very seriously; all of our books are packaged in new cardboard boxes amply cushioned with biodegradable packing peanuts. Pamphlets and other flat materials items are ocassionally shipped in bubble-mailers with internal cardboard supports. All books with dust jackets are fitted with brand new archival protectors prior to shipping.
