G. P. Putnam's Sons, September 1982. First Edition. Hardcover . Good/Good. First printing. Blue boards in gilt-titled blue backstrip. Book is a little dulled and dusty, with a small circular shadow from sticker removal on front cover. Jacket has moderate chipping and creasing along extremities but is bright and whole and wrapped in Brodart. SIGNED ON THE TITLE PAGE BY FRANK HERBERT.

Synopsis

Frank Herbert was born in Tacoma, Washington, and educated at the University of Washington, Seattle. He worked a wide variety of jobs--including TV cameraman, radio commentator, oyster diver, jungle survival instructor, lay analyst, creative writing teacher, reporter and editor of several West Coast newspapers--before becoming a full-time writer. He died in 1986.
