The White Rajah by Nicholas Monsarrat - 1961

First edition, published by Cassell, 1961. This is the British edition. The dust jacket is intact and is not price clipped. Dust jacket has shallow chip marks of about 1/8 inch to the head of the spine, rubbing wear mark of about 1/8"tall at the heel of the spine, small chip marks at the tips of the corners, one small closed tear of about 1/4 inch at the top left back. Beautiful vintage dust jacket illustration by A.R. Whitear. Black cloth covered boards with the title and author name in very bright green on the spine - all lettering is crisp and not rubbed. Very small bump mark to the edge of the board on the top right side, not at all noticeable with the jacket on. Dust jacket has been protected with a clear, removable, library quality cover. Original bookseller label, about 1-1/2" long and 1/4" tall, on front pastedown from Harold Hockney of Bristol. Edges of the text block are relatively clean. No former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages. Not a library discard, not a remainder, not a book club copy. Attached photo is of the copy we have in our inventory not a stock photo.
