THERE ARE SIX STORIES: KING DONKEY'S DOINGS, DOGS' DINNER PARTY, KING GOBBLER'S FEAST, SPOILT PIGGY WIGGY, AND CAT'S PARTY. THE ANIMALS ACT LIKE HUMANS and occasionally interact with us - OH OH.

RICHLY COLORED CHROMOLITHOGRAPHS ARE ONE TO A PAGE. Each illustration takes up 2/3 of the page, the rhyme is written below each illustration telling the story. Pages are printed on one side only. Backs to the illus are blank.

NY:McLoughlin Bros, [1876], First edition in book form. 8vo, green gilt cloth with embossed black stamped design, with a pictorial label pasted down. pink eps. The title page lists all 6 stories.

There is some chromo offset on the blank page behind the color illustrations. There are some pages with marginal. brown stains. -offset and stains mostly toward the back pages. Corners & edge rub, spine tips worn spine edge wear,gilt titles faded. The book does hold tight, and eps are not split.

A VERY ENTERTAINING BOOK WITH GREAT ILLUSTRATIONS.
