[no date] Probably circa 1847-1850, based on publisher history. ix, [2], 539 pp. Text clean and unmarked except for usual library treatments. Frontispiece portrait of Benjamin Franklin in b/w. Brown cloth boards with blindstamped decoration front and back, spine lettered in gilt. Boards slightly scuffed, corners worn to boards, lower edges rubbed, spine top and tail frayed. Front hinge tender, back hinge starting to crack. Binding overall stable. This is volume 4 of 10, including Franklin's further essays and tracts, historical and political, before the American Revolution.
