INSCRIBED by Boswell authority Tinker on the ffe with a ANS in addressed envelope secured to pastedown from him dated March 2, 1931 to an adoring literary admirer thanking her for her hospitality on a visit to Baltimore. The inscription is amusing: "James Boswell is not easily put down". Below Tinker's inscription to that inscribee is her inscription in 1941 presenting the book to another Boswell devotee. i.
