Simply love Mary Daheim's books for the outrageous characters and dialogue. My family isn't very different from hers although we might just be a touch less frank with each other. My only complaint is I read too fast so I am missing my "Hillside Manor" fix already; anxiously awaiting the next installment.
New to Monica Ferris's mysteries but getting attached rather quickly. I am a bit of a needlework fanatic so I enjoy any mysteries in which the herione is also one. I have to mention that I found the storyline a bit upsetting at first because I also lost a sister tragically but it was still touching so I have since read two others in the series.
