About This Item

This is an AEP Unit Book adapted from the Harvard Social Studies Project.

From back cover: "Conflict between the Union and the Confederacy took a staggering toll, and dramatized divisions in America's national life that are still not fully closed. This unit book explores the causes of the Civil War. Cases show the moral and political extremes adopted by slaveholders and Abolitionists, Unionists and secessionists, and draft objectors. Modern analogy cases further develop questions of uniform national policy or pluralism, the meanings of separatism and secession, and the limits of dissent and deliberate violation of laws that some groups call unjust.

Poor condition. This is a stapled booklet with much rubbing and edge/corner wear. There is also age tanning, stains, and pink highlighter. Please see photos.
