Light tanning to otherwise clear pages, pastedowns and free endpapers. More prominent to text block edges. Binding is slightly loose but pages remain attached. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has heavier tanning with soft crushing to ends. Lettering remains bright and clear. Book has a slight forward lean. Clipped dust jacket with minor rubbing, chipping and tearing to edges. Moderate tanning and scuffing overall.

Bright and clean pages with light tanning to text block edges. Binding is firm throughout with minor thumb-marking. Previous owner's inscription to front endpaper and half title page. Boards have light edgewear with corner crushing. Notable sunning to board edges and spine, which has mild crushing to ends. Unclipped jacket has moderate edgewear with chips, tears, and creasing. Tape to tears on inside. Heavy tanning to spine. Light rubbing and marking all over. Mild foxing to rear panel.

Slight sunning to spine head and tail, also to bottom edge of front board. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Ghosting of cover image to front board cloth. Unclipped jacket , priced 8s 6d, has moderate edge-wear with chips, tears and creasing. Moderate sunning to spine. Slight loss to head and tail of spine.
