With a map reproduced from Mitchell's New Map of Texas, Oregon and California (1846). Full seafoam green cloth with lettering stamped on spine in black. Lower spine and a good section of rear cover with a bleached dampstain, not affecting dust jacket, nor rear pastedown or endpapers (please see photo). In the decorative color dust jacket with a chip at the head of spine and two closed tears on rear panel. First printing, with a variant binding from that described by Tweney. Despite the stain and dust jacket afflictions, the book retains shelf appeal due to the brightness of the dust jacket. Please see photos.
