Boards lightly rubbed at corners and more heavily down joints and at spine ends, with chipping to leather at tail of spine. Endpapers foxed, with sparse interior foxing, mostly closer to edges. A few pages rippled at fore-edge. Binding is sound and pages unmarked. Revised version of Hardy's play, itself adapted from his story "The Three Strangers."
