Bkplts but no aging, fopxing, memorabilia, etc. . 10"x6.5". Vols 1 & 2 consecutivly numbered to page 609, 3 & 4 to page 666. Vol 1 has the index of ilustrations and maps for vol 1 &2. Index in vol 3 for those in vols 3 & 4. All covers very clean. All gilt top edges bright & shiny as new. Other edges show just a bit of aging. Vol 3 upper hinge paper cracked, hinge still sound, no other hinges so effected. All very tight. All tend to stay closed when stood on their spines. .
