Limited edition of 31-1000, this is numbered 90 on the limitation pg. Condition is VERY GOOD ; leather supple with no damage at joints. Spine leather uniformly dark. Covers clean but linen is a bit toned and foxed. Minimal shelf wear. Binding tight. Endpapers have some toning, as do text edges - text is very clean and unmarked. PO's name on ffep. Hist. RGR.

Boards are a little grubby with small patches of tanning to the front and rear hinges. The edges of the deckled pages are a little tanned but no impact on the text block. Black and white frontispiece (photo of T. E. Lawrence). Printed by Christopher Sandford and Owen Rutter at the Golden Cockerel Press in Perpeptua type on Arnold's mould-made paper. Limited edition of 1000 (of which 1-30 were fully leather bound) of which this is number 902. Previous owner's name to front free endpaper (dated 1944). Published by Permission of the Foreign Office. Foreword by A. W. Lawrence. 173 pages. Based on Lawrence's Arab Bulletins which was issued monthly from 1916 onwards and was so secret that only 20 copies were printed. Cream boards with quarter Niger leather spine and gilt titles by Sangorski & Sutcliffe. The black leather is in excellent condition, but the cream boards are a little rubbed on the corners, and slightly soiled. Still attractive though. The end papers have stains where tape has been used (it seems to hold a previous cover). Otherwise the book is in very good clean condition. #458 / 1000 copies. Printed on Arnold's mould made paper. Top edge gilt. Frontis photograph of Lawrence. 173, [2], pp. 255 x 195 mm (10 x 7¾ inches).
