Quarter contrasting cloth; the text volume has two tiny punctures to the top edge of the front board, with the bottom edge slightly marked and unevenly tanned; the portfolio is a little marked and tanned on the top and bottom sides; plates slightly offset, with one plate marked on the verso with a cross; small name-stamp in each volume; an excellent set with the plain dustwrappers a little creased and marked, with small closed tears. The two parts constitute Volume 1 in Bollingen Series XL: Egyptian Religious Texts and Representations. Alexandre Piankoff has also contributed introductions to several sections. [2 items].
