The Rumford Modern Methods of Cooking cookbook is both an advertisment for the Rumford Wholesome Baking Powder and the first published collection of recipes by Sarah Field Splint. Splint would go on to serve as editor of the magazine Today's Housewife and become a member of feminist debating group "Heterodoxy". The book contains recipes divided into section, advice for new housewives, and some basic instructions of measurement and cooking. Clear and crisp pages, two light stains on cover.
