First Edition. 8vo. Green spider-web patterned boards, cloth back, titles to spine and front cover gilt. Forman Brown was one of the world's leaders in puppet theatre in his day, as well as an important early gay novelist. He was a member of the Yale Puppeteers and the driving force behind the famous Turnabout Puppet Theater in Los Angeles. This is his first book, a poetry collection.

This issue with the illustrated jacket precedes the more common edition issued in wrappers, also with a jacket. This is the first book by the noted gay author who also wrote the 1933 novel Better Angel, about a young man coming to terms with his homosexuality.
